HAZARAT KHAWAJA MUHAMMAD QASIM SADDIQ PIR BABA SAHIB’S LIFE. FOUNDER OF THE SILSILAH
Hazrat Khawaja Muhammad Qasim Sadiq (RA), also known as Pir Baba Sahib of Mohra Sharif, was a revered spiritual leader and the founder of the Naqshbandia Mujaddadiya Qasmia Sufi Order. Born into a noble lineage that migrated from Iran, he devoted over 80 years to the remembrance of Allah and propagation of peace, love, and the true spirit of Islam.
Establishing Mohra Sharif in the hills near Murree, Pakistan, as a center of spiritual enlightenment in 1263 AH, he trained 3,500 khalifas to continue his mission globally. His legacy of unity, Zikr, and service continues to inspire millions through his successors and the worldwide Qasmia Zahidia Centres.
His life of 120 years is a radiant chapter in the Islamic revival of South Asia — a beacon of spiritual light that continues to guide hearts toward the love of Allah and His Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
Mohra Sharif is a great spiritual center with origins in the Naqshbandi Tareeqat. It is the home of the Naqshbandia Mujaddadiya Qasmia Sufi order. Located in the hills of Murree, Punjab—approximately 50 kilometers west of Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan—Mohra Sharif was established as a spiritual centre by Ghous-e-Zaman Ala Hazrat Baba Ji Khawaja Muhammad Qasim Sadiq (RA) in 1263 AH. Baba Ji's ancestors migrated from Iran and settled in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. His remarkable 120-year life is a proud chapter in the Islamic renaissance of Asia. For 80 years, he remained engaged in the remembrance of Allah (zikr) and practiced the Sunnah of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). During his lifetime, Baba Ji appointed 3,500 Khalifas to spread the message of true Islam: Love, Peace, and Harmony. He passed away on 20th November 1943, leaving behind a legacy of millions of disciples and devotees..
After Baba Ji’s passing, his spiritual mission was continued by his son and Khalifa, Khawaja Gharib Nawaz Pir Muhammad Zahid Khan (RA), also known as Pir Khan Sahib, Ghazi-e-Kashmir. He earned deep respect and admiration from the followers of Mohra Sharif. His eldest son, Pir Aftab Ahmed Qasmi, a highly educated scholar fluent in several languages including English, visited the UK in 1970. Known for his humility and simplicity, Pir Aftab Ahmed Qasmi (RA) passed away in 1992. The spiritual mantle was then passed to his eldest son, Pir Jahan Zeb Badshah Qasmi, who became the Sajjadah Nasheen of Mohra Sharif. His three younger brothers—Pir A Aurangzeb Badshah Qasmi, Pir Dr Shahzada Fazeel Ayaz Qasmi, and Pir Riffat Mahmood—actively travel around the world to promote the teachings of Islam. Today, their global efforts continue through Qasmia Zahidia Centres established worldwide. In the UK, the spiritual centre is based at 20 Villa Road, Oldham, Manchester. The mission of this centre is to welcome all lovers of Islam and inspire them to embody the love of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Since its inception, the doors of Mohra Sharif Masjid on Villa Road have remained open to everyone under the guidance of Pir Jahan Zeb Badshah Qasmi and Pir Dr Shahzada Fazeel Ayaz Qasmi—the current custodians of Mohra Sharif Masjid and the Qasmia Zahidia Islamic Centre. “May Allah SWT give us the ability, spirit, and opportunity to serve the community.”
